Omnibus
Omnibus survey is a survey conducted simultaneously
for several Clients and on different topics. This
kind of research enables every Client to obtain
required information in very short terms and for
essentially smaller funds. It will allow lowering
expenses in case of realization of independent
researches, as independent survey on the same
terms usually costs 2500-5000 USD, depending on
sample size and geographic coverage.
Methodology
SIAR-omnibus is planned to be conducted either
by using:
• Face-to-face interview method, or
• Telephone survey.
Omnibus project questionnaire will be composed
by adding Clients’ questions to standard demography
questions (data on these questions are presented
free of charge to every Client):
• Age
• Sex
• Marital status
• Nationality
• Education
• Occupation
• Household size
• Family income
As a Client of the “SIAR-omnibus” project, you
can include into questionnaire the whole section
of questions on one subject as well as only one
question. Limitation for number of questions to
be included depends only on Client’s budget. You
can participate in “SIAR-omnibus”, having given
the available list of questions, which are necessary
for placing in the questionnaire or to put before
the research company the certain task, for which
decision the experts will make the list of questions.
“SIAR-Bishkek” will carry out the following work
to include one question in the survey:
- Adaptation of questions in the questionnaire;
- Composition and printing of questionnaires;
- Training of interviewers;
- Conduct and control of the fieldwork;
- Quality control of filled questionnaires;
- Coding and data-entry;
- Data-base creation;
- Development of the report.
We would like to note that questions in the questionnaire
could be open and closed. Closed are those questions,
which have proposed list of answers from which
respondent can choose. Open question is the question
type, which does not pose answers and the respondent
mentions any variant.
Sample
For the moment the company has elaborated two
different samples:
• Bishkek – 500 respondents
• Kyrgyzstan (Bishkek and 7 main cities, 10-14
villages) – 1000 respondents
The sample of 1000 respondents represents the
proportion of urban and rural population in total
population of Kyrgyzstan. Both samples are stratified,
reflecting gender and age structure of population.
Participants of the survey are people from 16
to 70 years old.
There is also might be a possibility to participate
in “SIAR-omnibus” in other cities and with enlarged
sample size. However, in this case the sample
size and price per question will be defined upon
proportioning of the project’ participants.
